
Just reviewed some hands and all very standard and boring stuff really. I think this hand illustrates a spot where a lot of people check the river b/c they think the K is a bad card for them because it makes it way less likely to get paid off when in reality people will often assume you either hit it or have nothing. I checked turn b/c a) this guy floats a ton, and b) can't really expect to get 3 streets of value so I'd rather induce a float on the turn and/or get value on the river if he checks which is what I did. I see a lot of tagfish check that river though in my shoes which is usually quite bad imo.

Oh and I played a step 4 on stars today, played terribly (the mistakes I made were marginal according to SNGWIZ but I know better in all cases but one so it pissed me off). I still managed to get a step 3 ticket out of it, then played well/ranwell and went 2/2 and have a step 5 now. But i'll prob just use it to play a $700 MTT qualifier this weekend instead, we'll see.
